Encapsulated in this precious bottle, fashioned entirely by hand from leaves of precious silver by skilled artisans so that no two bottles are ever the same, is the silvery essence inspired by the pure kiss. Considered the most important and famous kiss in history, the spirit of this sublime kiss has echoed through the valley of our beloved homeland for centuries. And still today, one can sense its echoes in the halls of the Castello di Gradara, where Goldonis famous lovers Paolo and Francesca lived their own love story, inspiring artists from all over the world.
Great works of art have been inspired by this eternal kiss - poems, paintings, music, sculpture and now, thanks to the exclusive V Canto Collection, luxury hand-crafted artistic fragrances. A love so strong and pure that even today, centuries later, it still reverberates from the tall walls of the castle known also as La Rocca dell’Amore, or Fortress of Love: a place where romanticism and beauty are the essence of life. This silver kiss, with its energizing freshness and elegant seduction, is expressed in this artistic creation, which opens with an ebullient citrus-driven fruit bouquet, where the effervescence of Sicilian grapefruit and Calabrian bergamot is attenuated by an underlying bed of mellow Provence blackcurrant. This fresh, silvery top melds into a deeply intense and complex middle, with notes of Nepalese cardamom paired with Sri Lankan cinnamon. The bold, decisive and precious spice notes are blended in a truly innovative harmony with Tuscan leather and highly prized Indian cypriol. The entire opus is sustained by a strong, potent base with extraordinary persistence, where prevailing notes of Indian red sandalwood and Cuban cedar are complemented by birch wood from Romagna and Tuscan oakmoss blended artfully with the bewitching and aphrodisiac action of extraordinarily rare Malaysian purple patchouli and legendary ambergris. The Terenzi family has lived near the Castello di Gradara, one of the oldest castles in Italy, for over 700 years. Setting down roots among the beautiful hills, the woods and the blue Adriatic sea, it is a family of travelers and explorers who loves to return to their home made of scents and colors dominated by the blue velvet shades of the sea after every adventure. From this wild but beautiful area comes, in fact, much of the creative energy and love for beauty that distinguishes all of Terenzi’s artworks.
Breathing the air under the big tower, rich in history and secrets, walking among the high walls of the castle, in the past defended by the Avi with their lives, building castles in the sand on the seashore and dreaming while standing on the highest peak of the cliff, brings the soul closer to what we were and lets us glance through history.
